Buffalo Airbrush Tan specializes in competition tanning for bodybuilders, figure competitors and bikini competitors. I usually tan about 1/3 of all competitors for local shows... and we are at each show to make sure your tan stays looking great

Spray taning gived vitiligo sufferers the confidence to wear shorts, tank tops, bikinis etc. Many vitiligo clients have used airbrush tanning for years to cover up light areas of their skin.
Cancer Patients

The american Caner Society has recommended spray tanning as a safe alternative to exposure to UV rays from the sun or from tanning beds and booths.

Parents are becoming insistent that their children avoid tanning beds. I have many parents bring their teenagers in for tanning after refusing to let their teen go to a tanning booth.
Wedding Parties

What looks better than a perfectly tanned wedding party. Brides... bring in your wedding party and you get tanned for free.

Get a beautiful bronze tan for that next photo shoot or modeling show. Don't worry about staining clothes. We don't use dyes, so you never have to worry about staining.
Regular Tans

I've given over 1,000 tans to clients in western NY. More than likely you've seen my tans and the best thing about it is... you didn't even know it was a spray tan because it looked so natural!
What's in the spray?

The main ingredient in the spray tan solution is DHA (dihydroxyacetone), also
known as glycerone. DHA is a simple carbohydrate (sugar) and is approved by
the FDA for use in airbrush tanning solutions.

Discovered in 1920 it was first used in the x-ray process, doctors also noticed
that it turned the skin a brownish color when spilled.

To show how safe DHA is

Use with children:
In the 1950's DHA was given to children who suffered from a a disease which
prevented them from storing glycogen (sugar) in their bodies.

DHA is formed in the winemaking process. It can effect how sweet wine taste.

Fat Loss Supplements:
DHA is also a main ingredient in some fat loss and performance enhancing supplement drinks

FDA (Food and Drug Administrstion)
In the 1970's the FDA placed DHA on it's list of approved cosmetic substances

Use as a tanning agent:
DHA has been used since the 1960's (Coppertone) as a tanning solution. Back then the tans were orange and
streaky. New technology and our special mixture combinations have elimnated this problem completely.
